It's high-end designer fabric that would otherwise sit unused or end up discarded, which is exactly the kind of waste a lot of designers are actively trying to avoid on behalf of their own clients. None of this changes how CMP+ handles customer's own material. A designer who has their own fabric relationships and prefers to source and send their own COM can keep doing exactly that, and CMP+ fabricates it to spec the same way we always have. The newer piece is this: for designers who'd rather not manage the fabric ordering themselves, CMP+ now offers to purchase designer fabric on a project's behalf, at no added fee. This is simply another way to work with us for the designers who find it useful, and it sits alongside COM as an option, not a requirement.
